I may be a little biased here but the truth is I have tried many money making opportunities in my time online and my conclusion is that at least 95% of them are a complete waste of time.

Now, I am not saying they are all scams. Many of them are quite legitimate. But most of them are not profitable. They have the attraction of easy but won't make you much money.

And most times you have to do a lot of work to earn just a trickle.

Let's take surveys for example. The range of pay for completing a survey is usually from cents to a few dollars. So to earn any kind of meaningful income from them you have to do lots of surveys. Lots of them.

And the funny thing is that your allocation of surveys is not guaranteed. You may not qualify for surveys based on your country, gender or occupation and sometimes you have to pay a membership fee to qualify to take surveys. coupled with the fact that this is nerve jarring monotonous work. It is really not worth your time.

And You spend a lot of time doing something that does not improve your financial situation in any significant way.

It is a similar story with freelance work and other minor money making opportunities.

For me the only money making opportunity that I think is worth any one's time is creating a product or service they can sell for money or at least sell some one else's product or service for money.

Unless you are looking for a stop gap solution to tide you over in a cash emergency or you are not interested in making any serious kind of money, selling products or services is the only way to go.

Those are the only money making opportunities that would earn you a solid income for years to come.

Selling other people's products has for a long time been an easy way out for those who may not have the time needed to create their own products. And when done properly can generate a sizeable in come for those involved.

It is like a short cut to creating your own products.

But the report also notes that the number of B2Cs generating leads via LinkedIn has increased 75% since last year, while the number reporting Facebook as a source of sales declined nearly 20% (from 48% to 39%).

LinkedIn is a great choice for B2B businesses, or B2C businesses with corporate clients, especially if your resources are limited. On the other hand, if you want to share information and be heard, or if you are working with clients who might not have a LinkedIn account, creating a Facebook page or a Twitter account could be very useful.
